Since 1982, LASC has been offering academic programs that are accredited by California’s Bureau of Postsecondary Education as well as United States Department of Education. We are not just some fake online school that is out to make a few bucks off of your tuition. We are a real school that has real accreditations. LASC is also certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program. At LASC, we proudly offer five academic programs and three campuses.
We offer four academic programs that take place Monday through Thursday, and the student has the power to pick whether they get morning, afternoon, or evening classes. No minimum proficiency is required to enter the programs that we have to offer. Our school is truly a force to be reckoned with because we have helped so many students achieve success. We are dedicated to helping all of our students achieve the level of proficiency that they desire.
ESL California Standards
Out of the four programs that we offer, English as a Second Language is by far the most popular. The course is twelve weeks long, and the progress of the student is kept under close watch. We do not want our students to coast along, but instead, learn real information that they can use in their day to day lives. The Core English as a Second Language program is made up of six levels and is simply based on a system that has six points. Our Cambridge based curriculum requires at least a commitment of eighteen hours per week. Private tutoring is available to any student that is interested. In tutoring, students can expect an individualized learning plan that will cater to their educational needs. The flexible times and academic counseling that is available are other important reasons why people rely on LASC.
Succeed at a Collegiate Level
In order to succeed at a collegiate level, LASC can make sure that you have the skills that you need. Achieving success is not done without a little hard work and effort. If you are willing to put in the time, LASC can make sure that you receive a fine education that will make sure that you have a firm grasp on the English language. English is one of the hardest languages to learn because there are so many tricks and rules to remember. You should not feel discouraged if you do not succeed right away. Give it some time, and you will be amazed by what you can accomplish.
